After releasing the Roadmap for Cooperation and Agreement on Maritime Security with Indonesia and Australia, India has also initiated maritime security cooperation with New Zealand. The two countries have decided to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for future maritime security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. The roadmap will focus on maritime dialogue, information sharing, joint exercises, and capacity building, which will strengthen peace, stability, and prosperity in the region. On the last leg of the three-nation visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Auckland, the financial capital of New Zealand, where he held several rounds of meetings with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and held two substantive talks. The meeting of the two Prime Ministers was followed by a total of 10 agreements and eight announcements. Bilateral trade will be doubled to Rs.35 billion by 2030. In New Zealand, PM Luxon welcomed PM Modi at the airport.
