New Delhi, તા.10: The Modi government has taken a very tough stand so that the heat of the ten-day-long war in the Middle East does not reach the Indian kitchens anymore. People have increased their bookings in panic due to the surge in natural gas prices in the global market and the fear of a possible shortage of LPG in the country. To control this situation, the central government has implemented the nationwide ESMA (Essential Services Maintenance Act) with immediate effect. Under this law, employees of the petroleum, gas and energy sectors can no longer go on strike, so that the people of the country can continue to get essential services even in a war-like emergency. The government has not only implemented the law, but has also made a significant change in the rules of LPG cylinder refill booking to prevent hoarding. Now customers will be able to book LPG cylinders after 25 days instead of 21 days after taking one cylinder. The rationale behind this decision is that a normal middle-class family needs only 7 to 8 cylinders a year, but it is also focused on reducing the government's responsibility to use all the non-recovery hydrocarbons.
