New Delhi: The tensions between Iran and the US in the Strait of Hormuz are now having a direct impact on global trade. New Delhi has taken serious note of the attack on an Indian tanker and container ship by the Iranian Navy and lodged a protest with the Iranian ambassador. The Indian government has prepared its'Plan-B'to deal with the crisis. According to details released after the high-level meeting, India has more than 60 days of strategic reserves of crude oil, petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel secured. In addition, 50 days of LNG and 40 days of LPG stocks are also available. India's oil requirements up to April and May 2026 have already been secured. India is currently trying to pave the way through diplomacy and is also focusing on developing an alternate supply chain.
