India Seeks Practical Role in Resolving Russia-Ukraine Conflict

India's role in efforts to end the more than 4-year-old war between Russia and Ukraine appears to be increasing. Russia has welcomed India's efforts to resolve the Ukraine crisis. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that India has expressed a desire to make a practical contribution to resolving the crisis. Russia has also expressed gratitude to India for this. Peskov, one of President Vladimir Putin's key aides, was asked about media reports that India has sent a new 3-part proposal for a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict. To this, Peskov said, "Indeed, India is expressing its willingness to make a practical contribution to resolving the situation involving Ukraine. We are grateful to our Indian friends for their willingness and ideas." There has also been a significant statement from Ukraine about India's proposal. Foreign Minister of Ukraine Sibiha said on Friday that the US and Egypt have received the remaining 4 peace proposals from India.
