India on Thursday successfully test-fired its medium-range ballistic missile Agni-4 from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur in Odisha. The test was carried out under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC). All operational and technical parameters associated with the missile were successfully confirmed during the test. According to the Ministry of Defence, Agni-4 successfully met all mission objectives while following the prescribed flight path. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has congratulated DRDO and Strategic Forces Command (SFC) on the successful test of Agni-4 medium-range ballistic missile. He posted on social media that Agni-4 was successfully tested by DRDO and Strategic Forces Command on 6 August. For this, he congratulated the entire team of DRDO and SFC. Rajnath Singh said that the successful test of Agni-4 reflects India's strategic capability and the country's strong commitment to national security. He described this achievement as an important step towards strengthening India's indigenous defence preparedness and proving India's operational deterrence capability.
