Indian-American voters are more likely to vote for the Democratic Party in the midterm elections in the United States, according to a recent survey among Asian and Pacific Islander American communities. The survey by Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote and AAPI Data shows that they are preparing to vote in large numbers in the November 3 election for 435 parliamentary seats, 35 Senate seats, and several local positions. Estimates suggest that about 16 million Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders are eligible to vote in 2026. According to the survey, more than 90 percent of registered Asian American and Pacific Islander voters will cast their ballots in this election. Significantly, both parties have not made much of an effort to reach out to these voters, yet there is great enthusiasm among people to vote. Forty-two percent of the voters surveyed said they have not been contacted by any Democratic party leaders or activists to talk about the election. Fifty-eight percent said they are aware of the Republican party's message.
