Indian Congress Leader Slams Central Government Over Farmer Suicides and Economic Woes

Attacking the central government, Congress state president Rajesh Ram said that the government had made a populist promise to double the income of farmers by 2022, but the reality is quite the opposite. He said that according to the NCRB data of 2024, 10,546 farmers committed suicide in the country, which is very worrying and sad. Rajesh Ram further said that the farmers have not been able to get the minimum support price under the C2 Swaminathan formula on their crops till date.
