New Delhi: Another big news has come out regarding the 8th Pay Commission. The government has clarified its stand on the demand for a separate pay revision mechanism for employees of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary replied to a question in Lok Sabha on this issue. MP Laxmikant Pappu Nishad asked this question. He sought a reply from the government on the pay revision of 800,000 CPSE employees with effect from 2027. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said in Lok Sabha that there is no proposal under consideration to constitute a separate and institutionalized Pay Revision Committee (PRC) for non-executive employees and officers below the board level working in CPSEs. MP Laxmikant Pappu Nishad also asked if the government accepts that the pay revision process, bonus / PRP formula, allowances and percentage of benefits and profit sharing pattern of officers and staff in CPSEs varies significantly from one CPSE to another and in response to the same question, Pankaj Chaudhary said that the state government is taking steps to standardize the pay structure for non-executive employees working in CPSEs.
