Indian Government Criticizes Congress Protest Outside PM's Residence

The government has reacted sharply to the Congress protest outside the Prime Minister's residence. Government sources said on Tuesday that the Congress has started a very wrong and dangerous tradition by protesting outside the Prime Minister's residence. According to government sources, "This is not just a security threat, but such malicious politics is not seen in mature democracies. We should also not forget what happened in our neighbouring countries when the residences of leaders were targeted by protests." Earlier on Tuesday, Congress leaders led by Rahul Gandhi staged a sit-in outside the Prime Minister's residence in New Delhi. The protest was attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Karnataka Chief Minister डी.के. Shivakumar, Kerala Chief Minister वी.डी. Satheesan, among other senior leaders. Congress leaders demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister over irregularities in the NEET exam and police action on student protesters. During the protest, Home Secretary Jitendra Mohan Singh was present in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
