Indian Leaders Rally Behind Environmental Activist Sonam Wangchuk Amid Hunger Strike

Many big leaders of the country reached Jantar Mantar to support Sonam Wangchuk, the environmental activist on hunger strike in Delhi. On July 17, the 20th day of the hunger strike, Wangchuk appealed to the supporters to join the'Parliament Chalo'march in large numbers. The protest is being discussed in many international media, including Pakistan, America. The New York Times wrote,'Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and Sonam Wangchuk are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, but the Indian government has not given any formal response to this. Dharmendra Pradhan has described CJP as a B-team of anarchist elements. Sonam Wangchuk's health is constantly deteriorating and many people have also appealed to him to end the hunger strike. The UK's Reuters news agency reports,'The Delhi High Court has directed that Sonam Wangchuk's health be monitored. The First Court has directly intervened in this movement. Wangchuk's supporters are increasingly concerned about his health. Pakistan's CPN-Winster Sonam Wangchuk's health is not looking good.
