Indian MPs Stopped by Police, Kanhaiya Kumar Criticizes PM Modi and Others

MPs of the India Alliance took out a march from the Parliament House complex on Tuesday (October 06, 2026). However, they were stopped by the police on Parliament Street. Several MPs were detained. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, KC Venugopal and many other party leaders entered the AIR building complex after being stopped from going to Nirvachan Sadan and sat under a tree. After this whole development, now Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar has reacted. On Tuesday evening, Kanhaiya Kumar posted a post from his X handle and attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mohan Bhagwat, Amit Shah and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Kanhaiya Kumar wrote in the X post, "On the one hand, the leaders of the opposition are sitting on a sit-in at AIR building near the Election Commission, on the other hand, Congress workers have been detained in different police stations of Delhi. The roads around the Election Commission have been completely closed by the Delhi Police and turned into cantonments. Still, all the efforts of the Delhi Police to bring justice to the Akashwani Bhawan," he writes, "are targeting the leaders of the BJP.
