Indian Opposition MPs Gather for Lunch Amid Protests

Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has once again called the opposition MPs for lunch. This lunch has been kept in the Moats of Connaught Place at 1: 45 pm. The special thing is that the lunch is being held in Connaught Place for the second consecutive day. A day before this, Kharge had called for lunch and after that many opposition MPs including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi had gone to Jantar Mantar to protest against the Election Commission. The police detained them and released them after about two hours. Now the question is whether the opposition MPs will protest after lunch today also. Kharge has clearly written in his invitation that he is calling all the members of the opposition in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for lunch. That is, this invitation is for the opposition MPs of both the houses and not just the MPs of one house. Lunch will be at 1: 45 pm at K-14, Outer Circle of Connaught Place. The opposition MPs have also been invited to join the protest.
