The Monsoon Session of Parliament has finally come to an end after a week-long stalemate. After the continuous ruckus over the NEET paper leak case and police action on students, Parliament is now back on track. Today, the Lok Sabha is discussing the Anti-Paper Leak Bill. On behalf of the Congress, Priyanka Gandhi questioned what was the need to lathicharge innocent students? On the other hand, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav asked how a government that could not stop the theft of offerings at the Ram temple could stop the paper leak. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla held several rounds of meetings with leaders of opposition parties to ensure smooth functioning of Parliament. At present, 6 hours have been fixed for this important discussion, but the Lok Sabha Speaker has indicated that the deadline could be extended as per the consent and need of the House.
