Indian PM Modi Begins 5-Nation Tour with Strategic Visit to UAE

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a 5-nation tour. PM Modi has left for the UAE on Friday. He will meet Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE. This visit is considered to be strategically important. During the meeting, many issues like trade, investment, energy cooperation, technology, culture and strengthening people-to-people ties will be discussed. Let us tell you, after the CEPA agreement in 2022, trade relations between India and the UAE have got a new momentum. Trade between the two countries has more than doubled in the last 4 years. Meanwhile, Reem Al Hashimi, the Minister of State for International Cooperation of the UAE, spoke about India-UAE relations before the visit. He said that everyone is eagerly waiting for Prime Minister Modi's visit on 15 May 2026. Referring to the strong relations between India and the UAE, Hashimi said, "If you ask any Emirati, it will definitely have some form of engagement with India."
