Indian PM Narendra Modi Attends G7 Summit in Evian, France

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the French city of Evian on Tuesday to attend the G7 Summit. He is visiting at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. India is attending the summit as a Partner Country for the 13th time, while PM Modi is attending the G7 Leaders'Meeting for the 7th consecutive time. During the summit, Prime Minister Modi will participate in a working session with the leaders of the G7 countries, allies, and representatives of major international financial institutions such as the World Bank and African Development Bank on "Building New Partnerships and Reinventing International Solidarity." The conversation is expected to focus on global economic challenges, international cooperation, and sustainable development. During the summit, PM Modi will hold bilateral meetings with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He is also expected to meet US President Donald Trump. The White House has confirmed that the two leaders will meet on June 17 to discuss the proposed India-US trade deal, with progress in key areas.
