Hemant Soren was born on 10 August 1975 in Nemra village of Ramgarh district in Jharkhand. He is the son of senior tribal leader and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder Shibu Soren. Hemant Soren distinguished himself in politics and emerged as a prominent tribal leader in Jharkhand politics from 2009 to 2013. He was made a member of the Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand. Hemant Soren became the Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand in this year's political career.
