Indian Politics Heats Up After Modi's National Address

New Delhi: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the nation on Saturday night, the country's politics has heated up. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge hit out at PM Modi, saying the prime minister has turned an official address into a political platform for mud-slinging on the opposition. Kharge alleged that a frustrated PM is now resorting to falsehoods as he has nothing concrete to show in the last 12 years. Calling the address a violation of the Model Code of Conduct, he called it a mockery of democracy and the Constitution.
