New Delhi: The second part of the Budget Session began on Monday. Lok Sabha proceedings were disrupted on the first day. On Monday, a discussion was scheduled on the Opposition motion to remove Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla from office but could not be taken up due to protests and sloganeering by the Opposition. Opposition MPs came to the Well and showed placards demanding a discussion on the West Asia crisis. After two adjournments, the House was adjourned for the day. Amid sloganeering by the Opposition, the External Affairs Minister एस.जयशंकर read out his statement on the West Asia crisis. When the House met for the day at 3 pm, Speaker Jagdambika Pal asked Congress MP Mohammad Javed to keep his word against the Speaker. Meanwhile, Opposition members, including those from the Congress, trooped near the Well demanding a discussion on the situation in West Asia.
