The Election Commission on Monday announced the schedule for this election. The Mahayuti will get a big success in this election and the Maha Vikas Aghadi will have to struggle a lot to win. The election for 16 of these seats and the by-election for the Nagpur local body is going to be held. In Nagpur, Chandrashekhar Bawankule of the BJP resigned from the Legislative Council on 23 November 2024 after being elected to the Legislative Assembly. The term of Bawankule's seat is till 1 January 2028. This means that the person elected from this seat will get an MLA for one and a half years. The other 16 people will get a 6-year term. Recently, the Mahayuti has got a big success in the local body elections.
