New Delhi: The opposition is attacking the central government after PM Modi's appeal to save fuel and not buy gold for a year. Meanwhile, the Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas claimed during an event that India has never imported LNG from Russia. Puri's response came after reports claimed that India has refused to import LNG from Russia. Now the union minister's statement has been countered with documents by a former Rajya Sabha MP and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader. Priyanka Chaturvedi responded to Hardeep Puri's fact, saying, "In 2022, while replying to a question by Parliament, the ministry had informed that we had imported LNG from Russia, even though it was very less." She said, "Now, it has been sacrificed for a hypothetical profit-making deal with the US." The Shiv Sena leader said, "Let's not try to create confusion." Indians will have to "bear the consequences."
