India's NDA Renames Parliamentary Meeting to 'Mangal Milan', Prepares for All-Party Meet

A source said, "From the July 21 meeting, the NDA parliamentary party meeting will now be known as'Mangal Milan '. According to sources, this name change was also discussed in the last meeting of the Union Cabinet. Ministers were informally briefed about this change during the meeting. Meanwhile, ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament, the government has called an all-party meeting on July 19. Advertisement sources said that if Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla formally recognises the National Citizens Party of India (NCPI), its floor leaders may also be invited to join the all-party meeting. According to sources, Lok Sabha MPs Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, who left the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and joined the NCPI, may be the party's floor leader and chief whip respectively. The two MPs from West Bengal had rebelled against the TMC leadership last month and later joined the NCP.
