IPL 2026 Playoffs and Final Schedule Uncertain as BCCI Considers Alternative Venues

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not announced the IPL 2026 playoffs and final match schedule. It is also not known where the two qualifiers, one eliminator and the final match will be played. According to the IPL rules, the defending champions can host the IPL final. This time Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is the champion of IPL and has the hosting rights. RCB's home ground is MA Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, but this stadium can host the 202 IPL6 final. The reason behind this has also been revealed. The BCCI is soon to announce the venue and schedule of IPL 2026 playoffs and final, but there is uncertainty about the location of the final. BCCI sources have said that the playoff match is likely to be split between Punjab and Karnataka and Bengaluru may face some difficulties, due to which it will not be able to host the much-talked-about IPL final. Defending champions, Bengaluru, are usually associated with the match.
