Iran Demands Israel's Withdrawal from Occupied Lebanese Territories for War's End

Like Hormuz and the nuclear program, Lebanon is going to be a major sticking point in the deal between the United States and Iran. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has made it clear that the end of the war will not be complete until Israeli forces withdraw from the occupied territories in Lebanon. Araghchi has even said that any Israeli attack on Lebanon from now on and the continuation of the occupation of Lebanese territories is a violation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Araghchi's outspoken tone regarding Lebanon came up in a meeting with diplomats and ambassadors of different countries in Tehran on Tuesday. Araghchi briefed diplomats on the war with the United States and the possible deal in Geneva. Iran is in the process of closing the deal on Lebanon, but the fact is that Israel has not ended its occupation of southern Israel at any cost.
