Iran has invited BJP President Nitin Nabin and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to attend the funeral of late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The funeral of Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israeli strikes on February 28, will take place next week. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian last week invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend Khamenei's funeral. Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita and Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain are expected to join the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei next week, reports Hindustan Times. Events related to Khamenei's funeral will be held from July 5 to 9. Funeral events will be held on July 5, 6 and 7 in Tehran and Qom. According to Iran's state media IRNA, 12 million to 20 million people are expected to attend the funeral. For this reason, transport, security services, and other health services will be limited in the entire city of Tehran. Special arrangements have also been made in Tehran for the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei next week. Special media outlets have been set up in the city of Tehran.
