According to Iran's state broadcaster, the IRGC has said that only Iranian and its navy rules will apply in the Hormuz region. The IRGC says that whether the ships pass through Iranian waters or use Oman's proposed alternative routes, they will have to coordinate fully with Iranian authorities. Iran has warned that action will be taken if any ship violates these rules. The statement comes shortly after Oman announced new routes for the ships. According to Iranian state media, at least three foreign oil tankers tried to cross the Strait of Hormuz without permission. The ships had to turn back after the IRGC's warning. Although the names of these tankers have not been made public. The incident has raised concerns in global energy markets, as large parts of the world's oil and gas exports pass through the Strait of Hormuz. If international prices are affected on this route, the Singapore-flagged project could also be hit by an attack.
