Israel Evacuates Prime Minister's Son Yair Netanyahu Due to Security Threat

Yair Netanyahu, the eldest son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was immediately evacuated due to a security threat. This was confirmed by Israel's internal security agency, the Shin Bet, on Sunday. According to the agency, a "serious threat" was made against Yair Netanyahu, after which he was evacuated from the United States. The Shin Bet did not share the nature of the threat or other information related to it in its brief statement. However, last week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed in an interview with an Israeli TV channel that Iran had tried to assassinate one of his sons. The Prime Minister's Office did not comment on the matter on Sunday. Shortly after Netanyahu's statement became public, prominent Israeli journalist Amit Segal claimed on his Telegram channel that Israeli authorities had known about the alleged assassination attempt for several months, but in this case the order (ban on making the information public) was implemented. Yair Netanyahu, the 35-year-old son of Yair Netanyahu, had moved to the United States, and that he had been in Israel since 2023.
