Tel Aviv: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has told the country's parliamentary committee that Iran's new regime is more hardline than the previous one, while the head of this parliamentary committee hinted that war could resume in the coming days. The Times of Israel reported on Friday that IDF representatives briefed the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Iran's more hardline regime during a closed-door intelligence briefing. The news comes as Israeli officials were assessing both the consequences of recent operations and the risk of renewed conflict. The more hardline government report in Iran quotes two sources as saying that the current regime's leaders are affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, the new supreme leader, is said to have the IRGC's full support. That is why he was also elected the country's new IRGC supreme leader. The IRGC is said to be more ideologically inclined than the previous regime to deal with the conflict.
