Jamnagar District Prepares for Local Body Elections Amid Model Code of Conduct

(By Mukund Badiyani) Jamnagar તા.07: The State Election Commission has recently officially announced the schedule for the local body general elections-2026, following which the Model Code of Conduct has also been strictly implemented in Jamnagar district. The entire administration under the leadership of Jamnagar District Election Officer and Collector પી.બી.પંડ્યાના joined the election preparations. છે.જામનગર Election officers for Municipal Corporations, District and Taluka Panchayats as well as Municipal areas have been appointed and special training is also being imparted to all the officers and staff associated with the election process. The officials concerned have stepped up their work for the smooth implementation of the Model Code of Conduct. The Collector પી.બી.પંડ્યાએ held a press conference giving details about the election schedule. The last date for filing nomination forms for the elections has been fixed for 11 April 2026, after which ID1 verification of nomination forms will be done. તા.27 The requirement for reserving ID cards can be withdrawn by that day.
