The results of the by-election to the Bankipur assembly seat in Bihar are out. The result of the by-election held on Monday is a major upset. Jansuraj Party founder Prashant Kishor has won the by-election by 18953 votes. In this by-election, BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha has been defeated. While the RJD has slipped to the third place. Let us tell you that these results are a big blow to the BJP. In fact, the Bankipur assembly seat was vacated after Nitin Navin became the national president of the BJP and went to the Rajya Sabha. Bankipur had been an impregnable fortress of the BJP since 1995. From 1995 to 2005, Naveen Kishore continued to win the assembly election from Bankipur (then Patna West seat). After his death, Nitin Navin became the MLA by winning the by-election in 2006. Since then, he remained the MLA from this seat. However, Prashant Kishor has demolished this fortress. He said, "The people of Bihar do not accept the leadership of Chaudhary, and its fortress does not seem to be collapsing even after 30 days."
