JDU Announces Candidates for Bihar Legislative Council Elections

Political activities have intensified in Bihar Legislative Council biennial elections and by-elections 2026. In this sequence, Bihar Pradesh Janata Dal (United) has officially announced its candidates. The party has released the names of candidates for four seats, including three candidates for biennial elections and one candidate for by-elections. According to the list released by JDU, Nishant Kumar has been nominated for Bihar Legislative Council elections from Patna district. Bharti Mehta has been nominated by the party from Madhubani district. Shivani Devi Prajapati has also been fielded by JDU from West Champaran. Lalan Prasad has been nominated for the by-election to Sheikhpura district. With this list released by the party, JDU's preparations for the Bihar Legislative Council elections have become clear. The special thing in JDU's list of candidates is that the party has given a chance to two women candidates. Bharti Mehta from Madhubani and Shivarani Devi Prajapati from West Champani.
