Radhakrishna Kishore, the senior-most minister from the Congress quota in the Jharkhand government, has returned his security. After a dispute with officials over government vehicles, he has returned 16 policemen deployed with him and also returned the vehicles provided for security. This development has created a new discussion in the state's politics and bureaucracy. In fact, the finance minister wrote a letter to the DGP of Jharkhand on 21 April 2026, requesting to provide an additional vehicle for the movement of 16 policemen deployed in his security. The minister said that he already has only three vehicles, in which it is difficult to accommodate all the security personnel. This also affects the security arrangements. However, instead of giving the additional vehicle, the joint secretary of the finance department Pankaj Kumar Singh sent a notice to the minister's personal secretary. The notice cited an order of the year 2022, saying that one of the three vehicles provided to the DGP should be returned to the police headquarters. Angered by this notice, the finance minister wrote a letter on 29 June, saying that he was now providing an additional vehicle to the entire police force deployed for his security.
