Kangana Ranaut Faces Ongoing Legal Battle Over Alleged Farmer Remarks

On the previous date, the court had dismissed the petition for summoning Kangana Ranaut to record her statement. Senior advocate Ramashankar Sharma, President of the Rajiv Gandhi Bar Association, had filed a suit in the court against MP Kangana Ranaut on 11 September 2024. The advertisement alleged that the MP made derogatory remarks against farmers in her statement on 26 August 2024, which hurt her and the sentiments of millions of farmers. The advertisement accused Mahatma Gandhi of making indecent remarks.
