In the new Congress government in Karnataka led by Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar on Wednesday (August 12, 2026), portfolios were distributed among cabinet ministers. Chief Minister D. K. According to a notification issued by the office of the state governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar will keep the departments of finance, cabinet affairs, personnel and administrative reforms, intelligence, information, law, justice and human rights, parliamentary affairs and legislation, and agriculture marketing.
