Minister of Planning and Statistics in the Government of Karnataka, B. Nagendra has announced his resignation from the post of Minister amid mounting pressure over the Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Nigam scam. He said that he has submitted his resignation to the Chief Minister of Karnataka, D. K. Shivakumar on Friday (August 28, 2026). Announcing this at the press conference, B. Nagendra was seen crying.
