Amid online terror threats to Kashmiri Pandit employees, the divisional administration in Kashmir has appealed to everyone, including the government, to join the Independence Day celebrations at their respective district headquarters on August 15. The government has already issued a circular making it mandatory for all government employees to attend the national event and calling it part of the official duty of the employees. The order has caused panic among Kashmiri Pandit employees, who had been working from home since the recent online threats from a little-known terror outfit called'ULF'( which is suspected to be linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba) on August 7 and 11. Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Anshul Garg said on Friday that no order has been issued asking employees with PM packages to work from home. He appealed to the people to rely only on the correct information provided through government and administrative channels. Several Kashmiri Pandit leaders have asked their political workers to join the celebrations from their offices.
