Kerala CM Accuses Opposition of Spreading Falsehoods, Highlights Government Achievements

The opposition is unable to offer constructive and specific criticism. The Left Democratic Front government in the state is not discussed in detail in the assembly and is instead spreading falsehoods. This was stated by veteran CPI (M) leader and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in an election campaign meeting. He said, "The people will trust us." The 140-seat assembly of Kerala voted on 9 April. The Left Democratic Front is in government in the state for two consecutive terms. The Left parties are pushing for people-oriented development in the state. The CPI is promoting corruption-free governance in the elections. The state's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in Kottayam, "Kerala has done development work on one hand. There has been a fight against corruption. Kerala is not just a state of low corruption. The fact is that no corruption charges have been levelled against the Kerala government. It is also the Left Democratic Front's position as a political force against corruption." The Election Commission's letterhead to the political parties in Kerala, dated March 2029, has sparked a controversy. The BJP had written to the Kerala State Election Commission to remain neutral.
