THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala went to the polls on April 9 in 140 assembly seats with a record voter turnout of 1536 votes. Now it will be interesting to see whether the Left Democratic Front creates history by coming to power for the third time in a row or the Congress ends its decade-long distance from power. Counting of votes in all 140 seats in Kerala has started at 8 am. By afternoon, it will be clear whether Pinarayi Vijayan will be able to overcome anti-incumbency or the opposition led by VD Satheesan will end the Left government. CM Pinarayi Vijayan is leading by 1536 votes after the seventh round of voting. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is leading by 1536 votes in Dharmadam assembly seat. Let us tell you that in the initial phases, Kerala CM and UDF candidate V P Abdul Rasheed were in a neck-and-neck fight. Now UDF candidate V P Rasheed has slipped to the second position.
