The Left Front has declared its goal to protect the freedom to practice religion. The fundamental rights recognized in the Constitution are under attack in the country, in the state. At the same time, the election manifesto declares a strong stance for this religious freedom according to the constitution. There is an atmosphere of religious polarization in the country as well as in the state. Both the Trinamool and the BJP are using this division in the politics of votes in the state. The manifesto of the Left Front says that security will be ensured in religious freedom, as well as in administration, jobs and elections. The report of the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Ranganath Mishra Commission in 2007 recommends identifying the socially and economically backward sections among religious and linguistic minorities. The report also recommends reservation in government jobs and higher education by identifying them as Other Backward Classes. This report was first implemented in the country by the former Left Front government. Although both the BJP-Trinamool have tried to incite the people of the state by using religious incitement, there has been no proper recruitment of teachers in schools and madrassas in the state.
