Lok Sabha Speaker Approves Merger of Rebel MPs from Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena with Eknath Shinde-led Faction

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has approved the merger of six rebel MPs of Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) with Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. Out of 9 Lok Sabha MPs of Shiv Sena (UBT), 6 have announced to join Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena on 22nd June. These rebel MPs include Sanjay Deshmukh (Yavatmal), Sanjay Jadhav (Parbhani), Sanjay Dina Patil (Mumbai North-East), Nagesh Patil-Ashtikar (Hingoli), Omprakash Raje Nimbalkar (Dharashiv) and Bhausaheb Wakchaure (Shirdi). Six MPs who broke away from Uddhav Thackeray faction had given a formal application in Lok Sabha Secretariat seeking recognition of joining Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. Office of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has approved the application of rebel MPs. After this decision, these six MPs will be formally considered as members of Shinde faction in Lok Sabha. Shiv Sena (UBT) and Shiv Sena (UBT) have been left with only 3 MPs of U.T.
