Lucknow Municipal Corporation Orders Family of Former Samajwadi Party Minister to Vacate Government House

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to the family of former Samajwadi Party minister and founder member of the party Bhagwati Singh to vacate the government house. The municipal corporation has cancelled the allotment of house number D-2 / 2 in River Bank Colony. A notice has also been issued by the corporation in this regard. His family members living in the house have been directed to vacate the house in a week. According to the municipal corporation officials, the house D-2 / 2 in River Bank Colony was earlier allotted in the name of Bhagwati Singh and Rakesh Kumar Singh. Bhagwati Singh was a senior leader of the Samajwadi Party and a minister in the SP government. He is considered very close to Mulayam Singh Yadav. According to the corporation officials, both the allottees have passed away. In such a situation, the family members are in possession of the house. The municipal corporation officials said that the allotment of the house was done as per the government order of 26 June 1978. The municipal commissioner has cancelled the allotment on 14 September 2026. It has come to light that a person living in the house of the former minister of that family, who is a section officer of the housing department, has been allotted the house in the name of Bhagwati Singh
