Madhya Pradesh Court Sentences 14 to Life Imprisonment for Mob Lynching; Viral Video Raises Concerns

A sessions court in Madhya Pradesh's Narmadapuram district recently sentenced 14 people to life imprisonment in a case related to mob lynching. In 2022, a man named Nazir Ahmed was lynched in Seoni Malwa tehsil of Narmadapuram district. The court gave this verdict in this case. Now a video of some people being taken into police custody is going viral on social media. In the video, a boy is seen being grabbed by the collar and forced to sit in a police car. There is a huge crowd around the police vehicle. Some social media users say that this is a video from Madhya Pradesh and the same'gau rakshaks'are seen in it who were sentenced to life imprisonment. Sharing the video on X, a person wrote, "From elected governments in the name of Hindus to organizations that use Hindus only for votes, no one is telling us about these differences or glorifying our religion and protecting our mother cow, which is our Veda Dharma.
