Madhya Pradesh High Court Re-Examines Case of Alleged Phone Calls from BJP MLA

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh High Court will hear the case of alleged phone call to a judge involving BJP MLA Sanjay Pathak again today. On the court's direction, he will have to appear in person compulsorily. A division bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice Vinay Saraf will hear the case. The court had already rejected the MLA's demand for exemption from personal appearance. What is the whole matter? The whole controversy started on 1 September 2025, when Justice Vishal Mishra told the open court that an MLA had tried to contact him. The mining case involving the MLA family was being heard before him at that time. Justice Mishra had recused himself from that case in view of judicial impartiality.
