Senior Maharashtra Congress leader Nana Patole said on the issue of merger of Sharad Pawar's party in Congress that this is not such a discussion. This is a rumour and this is being said to divert attention from the original issue. While another senior Congress leader and former Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan said that he has seen these reports in the newspaper but does not know anything personally. Although he had definitely said that all the parties that have not removed Congress from their name, whether it is Trinamool or NCP, should return home. Prithviraj Chavan said, "I believe that there will be only two ideologies in the country. One Hindu nationalist who are trying to establish a fascist government and the other egalitarian who is the ideology of Phule, Sahu, Ambedkar, Gandhi and Nehru. These two ideologies will remain. Small parties must exist at the local level, it does not matter but at the national level. Just like in America, we are left with two parties.
