Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Opposes State Government's Decision on Auto-Rickshaw and Taxi Drivers' Marathi Learning

While the state government has given Hindi-speaking auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers one year to learn Marathi, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has opposed it. MNS leader Amit Thackeray has warned that if any auto-rickshaw and taxi driver is found talking in Hindi, we will beat him up. He also targeted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He questioned the decision to give one year's time to learn workable Marathi. He alleged that political gains associated with the elections in Uttar Pradesh are being given more importance than Marathi language. He said that give them 10 years'time. Give them 15 years'time.
