Another major update has emerged from Maharashtra politics. According to sources, six rebel MPs of the Uddhav Thackeray faction have submitted their signed letters to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. These MPs have also demanded to be recognized as a separate faction in the Lok Sabha. Along with this, the rebel MPs have also requested to have their separate seating arrangement inside the Parliament. According to sources, there is a possibility of the presence of all these MPs in Delhi on June 22, where they will take forward the process of merging Shinde with Shiv Sena. On the same day, these MPs can be formally admitted or merged with Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. Earlier on Wednesday, these rebel leaders met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla informally. They claimed to have the support of 6 out of the total 9 MPs of Shiv Sena-UBT in the Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, 6 MPs of the Uddhav Thackeray faction have changed sides, their security has been increased on the directions of the Central Government.
