Alleging a serious conspiracy against the BJP in the run-up to the West Bengal elections, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee at an election meeting in Khandaghosh said that a planned'operation'may start from Sunday midnight. She claimed that there may be manipulation in the use of EVMs, slow polling and counting to influence the voting process. Mamata Banerjee alleged that the voting process will be deliberately slowed down on the day of polling and the BJP may be shown ahead during the counting. She also said that there may be an attempt to arrest the opposition party workers. She said,'If the BJP is ahead on TV, it may not always be true '. However, amidst these fears, she is confident of her party's victory. She asserted that'We will win, no one has the power to defeat us '. She also mentioned the possibility of looting votes by using outsiders. She alleged that the BJP is distributing money to influence voters. Cautioning the general public not to read their accounts through banks. She also said that the central agencies may create a risk of financial fraud in the face of unknown people.
