MC Commissioner Suspends XEN with Additional Charge Amid Concerns Over Efficiency

One of the XENs with additional charge was recently suspended by the MC commissioner. Regular XEN Amit Sharma has been given additional charge of three divisions-1, 3 and 4. Water supply, water storage, storm water, sewer and tertiary works fall under these divisions. Advertisement One officer with responsibility of three divisions is affecting field inspection, grievance redressal and monitoring of technical files. Regular XEN Yogesh Agarwal also has additional charge of XEN Works and Establishment and Superintending Engineer Public Health with XEN Public Health. Three SDOs in the Advertisement Department Gaurav Pal, Rajbir Singh and Yashpal Sharma have been given additional charge of XEN. Three JEs Anurag, Amit Jangra and Parag have been given additional charge of SDOs. That is, many officers are having to handle storm water, storm water, sewer and tertiary works along with their original post. One engineer is also facing shortage of water in the city.
