After the missile attack on Qatar's Ras Laffan gas plant and Saudi Arabia, now there are reports that Kuwait's oil refinery has also come under fire. Iran has warned in clear terms that if the attacks on its economic backbone gas fields continue, the infrastructure of the entire Gulf countries will be its legitimate target. This aggressive stance has led to a sudden spike in oil prices, which has cast a cloud of crisis on the economy worldwide. Qatar has taken a very tough diplomatic step in response to this attack, declaring Iranian military and security officials persona non grata. The attack on a sensitive industrial city like Ras Laffan has caused a major blow to Qatar's economy, as a result of which Doha and Saudi Arabia claim that their staff will leave the country within 24 hours.
