Minor Girl Sexually Assaulted in Delhi's Sadar Bazar; Accused Arrested

The Sadar Bazar incident took place on the night of September 16. Delhi Police had received a PCR call about the sexual assault of the minor girl. Sadar Bazar police station team and the concerned ACP immediately reached the spot. The investigation revealed that the victim had gone out to buy stationery at around 11 pm. The 56-year-old Maqsood, who was in the neighbourhood shop, lured her inside the shop. The advertiser sexually assaulted the minor by tying her hands and legs. The police immediately swung into action and registered a case of rape, POCSO, and confinement. The accused Maqsood was arrested on the same day and sent to judicial custody. North District Mahila Thana is handling the case sensitively. This police station is committed to swift action on crimes against women and children. Earlier, on September 13, another heinous crime came to light in Swaroop Nagar, North Delhi. A decomposed body was found near Jaipal Rana's farm on Kushak Road. The police had initially failed to identify the body of the 17-year-old victim. According to the police, three of the accused were identified as minors.
