Hyderabad:Doctors have underlined the importance of prioritizinghealthamong students, emphasizing that maintaining good health is crucial for academic focus and overall development. In line with this, a three-day freemedicalcamp was organized at Meridian School, Banjara Hills, with active supervision and support from a team of doctors from Aster Prime Hospital.The camp was conducted in collaboration with the school management, including the Principal and Vice Principal of the Banjara Hills branch, ensuring smooth execution of all activities. The camp spanned three consecutive days, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and saw the participation of 410 students from Grades 5 through 12. Each student underwent a series of comprehensive health screenings aimed at assessing their overall wellness. The tests included measurements of height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), body temperature, pulse rate, and vision assessments. General Medicine doctors conducted the initial examinations, followed by detailed evaluations from Pediatric specialists. Additionally, Dermatologists performed thorough assessments to identify any skin-related concerns among the students. During the camp, the doctors also engaged with the students to educate them on maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet. They emphasized the importance of avoiding processed and junk foods and encouraged the consumption of clean, home-cooked meals to promote long-term health. Proper hand hygiene before meals and maintaining general cleanliness were also highlighted as key preventive measures to reduce the risk of infections.
